The American star is ready to make her comeback after a concussion setback.

A Scary Fall in Miami
Taylor Townsend Roland Garros comeback has been confirmed! She will be back “front and center” at Roland Garros after missing almost a month.
The two-time Grand Slam champion shared her story on Instagram. She explained how a concussion forced her to miss key tournaments, including the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome.
Townsend said she fell during her quarterfinal doubles match at the Miami Open. Even though she tried to play through the pain in the semifinals, her symptoms, unfortunately, got worse.
“In Miami, I fell and ended up getting a mild concussion,” Townsend said. “It’s my first time back on court in almost a month. I really wanted to give myself a chance to heal because I was scared about my head — and that’s not something I want to mess with.”
Healing Took Time
At first, Townsend hoped to return for the Madrid Open. However, her symptoms did not go away. Because of that, she had to wait longer than she wanted.
Eventually, after many days of rest, she reported feeling symptom-free. Most importantly, she shared that she had “no headaches,” which marked a big step in her recovery.
Additionally, she thanked her team and fans for their patience and support during this difficult time.
Eyes on Paris
Now, Townsend feels strong and ready. Therefore, she is looking forward to the clay-court Grand Slam with renewed energy.
“I will be ready front and center at Roland Garros,” she promised. “Stay tuned for my comeback, I love you all.”
Naturally, fans are excited to see her return. Moreover, her energy and talent will certainly add fresh excitement to both the women’s singles and doubles tournaments. After all, her performances earlier this year were nothing short of amazing.
Without a doubt, her comeback will be one of the highlights of the tournament.
